Happy Halloween!

What a fun weekend!
My 3rd Halloween was definitely the BEST. I met up with Braxton...I mean, Buzz Lightyear...for some tricks and treats! We decided to check out our loot after the first house.

Trick or Treat!

Even Lightning McQueen needs candy.

So all I have to do is say Trick or Treat, and they fill this thing up with goodness?? Ka Chow!

We even saw some horsies tonight. This is close enough for me.
Then, Buzz and I played cars. Imagine that.
Cutest Disney characters around.

Mommy and Daddy went to College Station to watch the Aggies v. Red Raiders. I got to spend the night with Mi-Maw. She made a picnic for me! Mi-Maw also taught me a new trick. She asked me what Mommy says at the football game, and I said, "GIG 'EM." Dada doesn't like my new trick so much.

Mom made sure to get some pics of my future school and their awesome band!

Awww. Look Mommy and Daddy playing nice. Though, I'm not sure why Dada is smiling at this point. (Too bad Dada doesn't write on this blog so Mommy can say WHATEVER she wants...)

I hear Mommy talks the most trash. Good job, Mommy.
Wreck 'em and Gig 'em - a house divided!

Phew! What a weekend! Kiki's about to celebrate his 3rd birthday, and I can't wait! If it's anything like Halloween, SIGN ME UP!

Pumpkins and Playdates

We recently had the 12th annual PCC (Pumpkin Carving Contest). Check out the awesome pumpkins!
Kristin helped us make peanut butter spiders - I sure did like eating all the ingredients :)
Then, we all painted our pumpkins. I LOVED it. I did paint myself more than the pumpkin - that was the best part!
A masterpiece.
Mom, do not bother me when I am creating my art.

Then Li'l Marvin came to play! We had so much fun! It was carnival day at school, so he got to see my clown make-up! So far...fall is great!

Happy 2nd Birthday! (Part II)

We had the little man's birthday party this weekend. The main attraction - the bounce house - was a hit (despite the bloody noses and such)!

His favorite thing to open - a Lightning McQueen card from Mi-Maw that played "Life is a Highway." That, my friends, was very exciting.

Griffin also preferred to eat his cupcake before his meal. Here, Braxton and Griffin decided to take a little snack break together.

Kiki came over early to get in a little jumping action. They were hilarious.

Thanks, Mi-Maw, for my first bike! I love it!

A little activity for the kids - making their own license plates!

The goodie bag - full of Griffin's favorite treats and a surprise from Lightning McQueen!
Sweet treats - cupcakes and his Piston Cup cake!

His favorites from Cars made an appearance!

Before the party, we let him open his gift from us. A remote control Radiator Springs with all the characters. He loooooves it.
Sweetest li'l G - we can't believe you are 2! You have blessed us more than we could ever imagine. You are very smart, sweet, and sassy too! We love every second....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRIFFIN HARDY REED!

Happy 2nd Birthday! (Part I)

This face sums up how fun our week has been. Can you believe he's 2??
Mommy made 42 cupcakes to take to his school. Thank you, Betty Crocker :)

Mi-Maw came to school too! She then took G and Mommy for a burger - YUM!

We enjoyed spending his 2nd birthday with him and his friends! Sweet boy was so proud to show off his Mi-Maw to his class.

Happy birthday, sweet boy! You bless us everyday with your sweetness!

Aggieland

We took our Lil' Aggie to College Station this weekend - even his Red Raider Daddy had a good time! I love this place so much and have so many memories of my time there.
I have never been to the Bonfire Memorial, so we took some quiet time to visit and remember these fallen Aggies.
What a powerful place.

Unless you are an Aggie, you could never understand our spirit and our heart. I thought a lot about my Dad at this spot. Man, he loved that I was an Aggie. It makes my heart smile to think of how much he loved Aggieland too!
Texas A&M - Class of 2030.
We went ahead and took his college day
so he could scout out the area.
He picked out his dorm too.
He is so smart.

Love my hubby! He was such a good sport!
Wreck 'em, Ags!

We had a reunion (which was too brief!) with my pledge sister, Jody! It was so good to see her! Pi Phi was one of my favorite things about A&M. I made some amazing friends! Pi Phi LOVE!

Our visit was too short, but Daddy and I are heading back in two weeks - A&M v. Tech! This game will be the first we have attended together! Wish us luck and GIG' EM!

A Day at the Races!

We spent our Sunday cheering on my nephew Gunar at his races! I thought Griffin would be afraid of the noise and chaos, but he LOVED it. When I asked if he was ready to go bye-bye, he kept saying, "No, Mommy, I go see Gunar race."

"Yook, Mi-Maw - I see Gunar!"
Uncle Doug and Dale helping washing off my DIRTY hands. (G was covered in dirt, sweat, snow cone and more...)

Congratulations, Gunar!! He came in first! It was such an AWESOME race. He was in 2nd most of the race, and right before the finish, he pulled ahead! G even said, "GO GUNAR WOO HOO!"

One of the most exciting parts - we saw a tractor. That, my friends, was the real deal for my little boy. He is in LOVE with tractors. Yep, a definite boy.

My brother and his boy - so very proud!!

G and Kiki giving Gunar a little pep talk before the race.

Love this one! When Doug took G on the dirt bike, G wasn't so sure. When I tried to get him off, he said, "No, Mommy. Move back. I ride motorcyle." I now have a glimpse into our future.
Uh oh.

We had a such a great day. I loved being with my family! And, if you remember, Gunar was in a pretty bad dirtbike accident in April. So, today, we were nervous for him. When I asked my sister-in-law if she was nervous, she said she was, but she trusted Gunar to be smart and careful. And...he certainly was. When he took off from the starting line, I had a big knot in my stomach. I then got a bit teary-eyed because my Dad would have had such a blast today and would have been SO proud.
My family has been through a lot, and on days like today, I love them more and more. I am blessed to have them. Blessed to have such determined and strong people in my life. Blessed to see what a great dad my brother is - just like our dad was to us.
Way to go, Gunar! Thanks for giving my little boy such a special day. We love you and are very proud of you!
