Thanksgiving 2012

We spent turkey day in the Ville! It's always relaxing to get away from the city for a lazy trip to the ranch! Griffin had a blast with cousin Gavin too - we rode the mule, picked pecans, got dirty, and ate a lot! My chocolate brownie cream pie will be added to the holiday menu - yum!

Off to decorate for Christmas! Love this time of year!

Busy weekend...

We need a weekend to recover from our weekend! We started off Friday with G's Fall Festival at school. Here he is with his sweet teacher, Ms. Odett. Oh my goodness, I love her. He made her take off her Batman mask. He prefers her at Ms. Odett and not the cape crusader! He also let her spray paint his hair blue!

Then what better way to spend the weekend than with Kiki and Aunt Jill. The boys sure are busy but fun!

Hans did the Mud Run with me on Saturday. This time was my 3rd, and I really loved doing it with Hans. Despite him trying to show me up, we had a blast. We ended up getting really competitive and finished with a good time. The beer and burrito after were a nice way to end the race!

 Once again, the Odells came to the rescue and kept G for us on Sunday. Thank you so much!! Sweet Sarah and G....

Oh and did you hear about this? AGS beat BAMA! Man, that game was awesome! Love Coach Sumlin!

Kiki's birthday!

We had a blast today at Kiki's 5th birthday! It was at Minute Maid Park where the kids got to sit in the press box, run the bases, change the scoreboard, and hang out in the bullpen! What a cool place to have a party!

Still

I have never seen my child so still. We participated in the Heart Walk today and rewarded ourselves with some face painting at the end. He did not move. Not once.

Big Boy Check-Up!

 

Griffin recently had his 4 year check-up, and he is definitely growing! I felt like I had to apologize for the height part - he may be short like his mama! His doctor said his development was "amazing." When he was asked about his colors, letters, and numbers, he did a few of them in Spanish. The look on the doctor's face was priceless. After a few shots (boo), we hit up Target for a new Hulk mask and book - anything to see my sweet boy smile again!

 

I still can't believe he is 4, and we are so lucky he is ours! His little brain amazes us everyday, and we love hearing the doctor describe him as "amazing" too!

 

 

Halloween 2012

We had a fun Halloween with Kiki and Aunt Jill! The boys loved handing out candy more than trick or treating! We started out as Batman but made a costume change before we left :) Such a fun night with Spidey and Jack Sparrow!

The pumpkin oranges were for G's party at school - a healthy treat in the midst of all this sugar :) I also made the mummy dogs for Kiki and G before the fun began!
