Summer Photo Dump - Part V

Just kidding - I have a couple more posts to catch up on our summer fun!

Our longtime buddies - Caden and Braxton - came over for some LOUD fun! These boys have been buddies since they were born! Crazy, sweet boys...

G was able to spend a weekend with Mi-Maw and also caught up with Uncle Doug!

Thank you, Aunt Hilary, for Emmy's precious Aggie outfit! We will see this often during football season - I love it, and she does too!

Sweet bubba sharing some Sonic ice water with the sister!

Griffin has been attending swim lessons at Houston Swim Club since May. We really wanted him to be a confident swimmer since we have a pool. I am so proud of him - he was a great student, and I'm happy to report he is a little fish now (he was promoted to the highest level at the club so we were excited). What a great place - I highly recommend it!

Emmy's turn with Uncle Doug - he gave her a tea party set!

One of her favorite things is to look out any window - here she is watching Daddy cut the grass. She would scream "DAD" every time he would go by the window!

G had his annual eye exam - they are so patient with a curious, busy boy! His vision is the same, but we did get some new glasses! The glasses brand is TMX so I told him it meant "Teenage Mutant Extreme." It worked for him! He struggles sometimes because he feels "different" with the glasses, but everyone assures him they make him look extra smart!

Oh the window again....

The Reeds went camping again to close out our summer! It was to a close camp ground, and we were able to swim, fish, play games, and enjoy the outdoors!

The summer bucket list is almost complete! He had quite the list, and I think we covered it all! Stay tuned...

Summer Photo Dump - Part IV

We still have so much summer to document - I can't believe it's getting closer to ordering yet another blog book (which is my version of scrapbooking!). So here we go with some more summer photos....

We went to the Children's Museum with Mi-Maw, Kiki, and Jill. We all had fun, and I loved the toddler area - little sister will definitely be back for more fun!

Then, on July 19th, Emmy decided to start walking! She has not stopped since and could not let her brother beat her - they both started walking at 11 months old. Go girl!

Hans and I also celebrated our 10 year anniversary in July! We were able to have a nice night out, and we are looking forward to our vacation in October! Love you, Pocket!

My BFF, Amanda, came to San Antonio in July so the kids and I set out to have some fun! Thanks to my other BFF Amy for having us and letting us enjoy each other's company as we have for over 25 years!

G created a summer bucket list so we had to check some items off - here is our trip to the zoo! We are very thankful that Hans has some Fridays off so we could have family time! Emmy Lou loved meeting this catfish :)

Stay tuned for more summer fun...I'm hoping one more post will cover all we did during Summer 2014! We have such a big event coming up this fall - KINDERGARTEN!

Pink and Gold Birthday!

Here are a few pictures of Emmy's first birthday party! We really enjoyed celebrating our pink princess, and I think she had a great time too!

Sarah (my sweet former student and Texans cheerleader) came to celebrate before her first game!

A few sweet details...

Aunt Jill made some delicious princess cupcakes!

And Emmy loved them :)

The sweet cake (HEB - holla!)

The bigger guests enjoyed some swimming!

Smashin' and eatin' that cupcake!

Look at that sweet face enjoying the birthday song!

Because all mamas need an adult beverage to celebrate surviving the first year, right??
Or to help dry the tears that the baby moments are over!

Thank you to everyone who came to help us celebrate our pretty princess! What a special day!

Emmy turns ONE!

My sweet Emmy Lou,

You are officially ONE! This year has been exciting, crazy, scary, and BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for completing our little family and bringing so much energy and joy! Just a few of your favorite things:

1. Your brother - I'm pretty sure you don't know his first name because you constantly call for "Bubba!" Your favorite thing to do when you wake up is look for him and wave. You are definitely able now to keep up with him - and he loves every second!

2. FOOD. Girl, you like to eat! And we better put the food down quickly because you inhale it all! We've had some misses (green veggies - you are your father's daughter), but you do love turkey, avocado, waffles, cheese, graham crackers, grapes, and many more things! I hope you keep up this appetite!

3. Your baby dolls. Mi-Maw bought you a couple then you got one more from the Odells. You love to look for your baby (which you can say too!), hug them, and pat their backs!

4. You can now say - bubba, baby, dada, mama, eat, more, bye-bye, hi, rain, and wow! I love hearing your little voice!

5. You are a daredevil. I just had to put up our bench because you like to climb on it then stand up so proud. Take it easy, little sister!

6. You love to be outside. If a door is open, out you go! You don't care what the weather is, you just want to be outside in it!

7. You love the phone. Of course you want to play with it, but you love to talk on it - especially to Dada! And, you prefer Face Time so you can see who you are talking to!

You are the light in our lives; you bring us such joy! I do miss the baby stages, but I love the little feisty lady you are becoming. Please never lose that light and know that we THANK GOD everyday for your life. We pray for a bright future and hope you know that you are our dream come true!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EMERSON KATE!
