Dallas!

We traveled to Dallas this last weekend for cousin Gavin's birthday party, former student Matt's wedding, and to visit my dear friend, Page! Loved seeing everyone :) G enjoyed Gavin's new trampoline (Daddy did too)!

Back to life...

...back to reality! We said good-bye to summer and hello to another school year!  Before we officially went back, we celebrated a little bit more! Mi-Maw has been SO helpful in getting us settled in the new house. She was determined to leave me without a box left in the whole house. I'm happy to say she was successful. Thanks, Mom! Love you.

 My sweet friend, Kristin. Dear God, THANK YOU for allowing my husband's best friend's wife to be one of my best friends. Love you, Kristin! (she kept G during our big moving day...huge help!)

 We settled into a new school year - with a big change for me. I had many sweet friends text me good luck wishes and even had this sweet one from my mom. I'm lucky she's my mommy :)

Little man was PUMPED to see his friends at school. We had 5 glorious drop offs - I love that he loves going to school! His new spiderman backpack went with him everyday even though it contained one fruit snack and/or cheese stick. Cutie.

I got to see some former students. Preston, on the far left, sang at Wine Styles so we sat on the patio and listened to some good music. So happy that Nathan and Reid were there too - what cool kids they are :)

Another former student, Whitney, got married this weekend so two of her English teachers went to celebrate! Love Jill English!

It was an Aggie wedding. Whoop!

 So fun to see G's swim teacher there too. G loved this pic I texted to show him!

Preston - 2 nights in a row! Glad to see him and visit before he heads back to Nashville!

A great farewell to summer and great beginning to another school year! I'm excited!

Feels like home....

We are slowly settling in to the new house! It really fits us perfectly! I love how open and bright it is too! The best part has been making one room G's playroom - he loves it! Come visit soon :)

Summer Updates #2

We finished another summer of swim lessons with Miss Ashlynn and what a difference a year makes! He did so great this year - jumping in, kicking, and even putting his little face under water! We are so thankful for Ashlynn and will see her again next summer!

We took our swimming skills to Noah's Ark with Caden. It was our 2nd trip this summer - he loves it!

 We packed and packed and packed. Moving day coming soon!

 One of our favorite summer activities has been a trip to the library followed by a lunch date. Sweet boy!

 We have also made great strides in our fear of live characters! He actually got this close to Spidey!

 His gymnastics place had a parents day out - with a pirate theme! Kiki and G had an absolute blast. They walked the plank, looked for gold, and had sword fights. What more could a little boy want??

Wedding/Reunion

We had an awesome time celebrating the marriage of my longtime friend, Jason! Love these guys - best buds of mine for a LONG time.  We always have so much fun - perhaps a little too much!

 Inside joke about what he's doing in this picture! Fun fact - Hans and my first date was to Fin's wedding (that night has many stories in itself!), and after that crazy night, I knew Hans was the one :) If he could put up with our crazy antics, he could do just about anything!

 Hieeeeeee! Dwayne has been my BFF as long as I can remember (sorry...I call all my Humble buds my BFFs - I just love them all and they really ARE the best). He's been there for the 2 hardest times of my life. Always fun to hang with him!

I LOVE my life right now...but, I have to say that the times I spent with these folks (during our summers home from college especially!) were some of the greatest memories I have. I may say this a lot, but I am so blessed to still have my best friends from my childhood and beyond. I can't wait for the next time we get together....I probably need to rest up before we do it again :)
