BBQ, basketball, birthdays, and more!

Daddy participated in his work cook-off last weekend! After his team stayed up all night perfecting their ribs and brisket, they won 1st in ribs and 4th in brisket! He won a giant trophy and rodeo tickets :)

We also enjoyed a day in College Station watching some Aggie basketball! Despite the loss (in 5 overtimes!), we had fun! My former student, Sarah, is the captain of the Aggie Dance Team so we got to see her too! After a quick yogurt date with his favorite babysitter, Kendall - another Aggie, we headed home!

Another friend Sarah had her 5th birthday recently. Kristin, her mom, should be a party planner. They had a Doc McStuffins party so each kid got a dr. jacket and brought in their toys for a check-up!

We had another night of soccer, and he did so great! His sweet smile made me tear up - he was so proud of himself!

So much more fun in store this spring....

Lately...

...we've started soccer! Practice #1 was spent watching more than playing! He will get there!

...we enjoyed Valentine's day! G got lots of treats including more Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle gear and Legos! Dad made an amazing dinner while enjoying his new "shop" and shirt!

...we enjoyed friend Keller's super hero party! Keller's grandma made precious capes and masks!

...we decorated the house some thanks to Pinterest help!

...we are tired but enjoying it all :)

A little bit of everything....

Just a few photos of our 2013 so far! Any time spent with this sweet (and sometimes stubborn :) ) little boy is an adventure!

New shoes for the little man!

His favorite treat...

Daddy's shop is underway so this large tractor will be in our yard for a while. Yay.

Rockin' out!

My cousin Stacy and her husband, Hab, came in town for the Houston Marathon (Go Hab!) so we made a trip to Mi-Maw's to see them. The boys had fun building things!

Tricked Mr. Picky into a "Hulk" smoothie - milk, ice, Greek Yogurt, bananas, teaspoon of vanilla, and a handful of spinach - he loved it. In fact, I made him a strawberry one later, and he told me he only drinks the green ones. SCORE!

For being a good boy, his treat was to sleep with me one night. I'll take that happy face anytime!

Tractor is moving!

Why it takes so long to get ready sometimes....

My little astronaut...

Love my sweet boy....

Happy New Year!

2013 has been fun so far:

We went to a nye party with Lori, Ivonne, and families...nice and low-key! G wasn't a fan of the fireworks, but he did like the glow bracelets! I even got a kiss from my love bug!

We've been lazy for the last part of the break - and enjoying every second! Well, except for car wrecks and such! All is well now :)

The Aggies made us proud once again as did the Texans! Dad and I were able to attend the first Texans playoff game - so much fun!

And I got to see my sweet god daughter Gracie! Isn't she the sweetest? Her mom, my BFF, and family have been in town from Indiana. Loved seeing them!!

Happy New Year to all!

Gaylord Texan

My sister and I took the boys to the Gaylord Texan the day after Christmas - we weren't ready for Christmas to end! Look at the gorgeous view from our room!
Sweet boy loved waking up to all of this fun!

Room service!

They had tons to see - Gingerbread houses, trains, presents, gorgeous trees, etc...

We also went to ICE - their amazing exhibit that has a theme each year. This year was Madagascar! We all had to wear these big jackets - it was 9 degrees inside! The boys watched a video first before their tour of Alex, Melman, Gloria, and Marty!

There were also ice slides - they rode them 3 times! Griffin's smile and laughter made the trip so worth it! Here is the face I saw - love him!

The boys also learned to be dragon trainers through Dreamworks How To Train Your Dragon experience. Here is Hiccup teaching the young trainers!

Then, they each got to ride a dragon! He loved this part!

You can see how much he loved it all - so glad we went to celebrate Christmas one more time!
We celebrated all our blessings from 2012 - we can't wait to see what 2013 has in store!
