Say what??

Griffin is approaching the 5 month mark - how did that happen?? He is growing, laughing, and...growing some teeth! He has two chompers on the bottom, and I think a third will join them soon. He chews on everything! I am loving Spring Break '09 with my munchkin. We have visited old friends, spent a day with Mi-Maw/Jill/Keaton, and are looking forward to the rodeo and the zoo! Pics to come of those teeth and our Spring Break adventures!

Oh - and I turn 21 for the 11th time next week :) We will celebrate with Griffin's first crawfish boil - cooked by his awesome Daddy!!

Four months have passed, and we are more in love than ever! God has truly blessed us with this sweet angel - we thank Him over and over each day. Griffin is slowly learning to roll over. I tried to catch it on tape today, but once I got the camera, he stopped performing! I will try to get a video on here very soon. As for mommy, I passed my counselor certification and have started applying for counseling jobs here in Cy Fair. Wish me luck! No matter what, I know there will be a change for me next year in the educational world - maybe Hans will let me stay home??? :)

Look what Mi-Maw found at her door on Valentine's Day!

We decided to surprise my mom for Valentine's Day. Jill and I bought a balloon and some flowers, put the boys at the door, rang the bell, and ran! She opened her door to this :) Needless to say, she was very excited (especially with G in his Astros hat!).

Griffin is now 15 weeks - where does the time go? He is the happiest baby - we love making him laugh! I have had a really hard time being back at work - I miss him so much during the day!

We had a holiday for MLK day, and we spent some time with our good friends, Matt and Lindsey Hopkins. Baby Dean was born 3 weeks after Griffin. It was so nice to see some high school buds and swap new mommy stories!

Also, if you check out the blogs I follow, please go visit Kelly's Korner. My friend, Julie, posted this blog a few weeks back (thanks, Julie!) about this sweet couple and their new baby, Harper. Please go see Harper's story - such a miracle! I have been praying and praying for this little one, and it's working. Go visit and continue to pray for this awesome family. It makes me hug Griffin a little tighter.

3 months!

So happy!

Precious baby boy!



We can't believe Griffin has reached the 3 month mark! He is so big and so sweet. We have survived our first two weeks at day care, and we have been told (even though no one will confirm or deny) that he is a favorite in his class. When I drop him off each morning, his teacher sings to him and calls him her little "Chiquita." It makes me feel good to see him loved so much there. One day, I even caught the director sneaking into his class just so she could hold him. We love that!!







My sister came over this past Sunday to take some new pics of the little man. She got many precious ones, so I had to post one here. He was a great little subject - smiling at any chance he could get! More pics to come.....

Christmas!

Before Christmas even arrived, we celebrated a big event - my graduation from grad school! I still have some intern hours to finish (due to a certain little guy's arrival!), but nevertheless, the big stuff is over!

We also enjoyed our annual Humble Christmas! We try each year to get together and catch up. My besties came from San Antonio and Nashville - it was SO awesome to see them! We each had a baby boy this year. Amanda even had Tucker the same day as Griffin :)

This year, we celebrated Christmas at our house. The whole clan came over, and Mi-Maw was so happy to have all four grandsons in one place! I loved every second of having them over to celebrate the holiday. Now that it's over, I have to prepare for Griffin's first day of day care on Jan. 5th. I am NOT looking forward to it, so please say prayers that he will have a good time, and I won't cry too hard!

Above all, we are truly blessed to have the family and friends that we do. Thank you for making 2008 so special. The Reed family wishes you a HAPPY 2009!

Santa is coming to town!

Here are Griffin's first pics with Santa! Aunt Jill was once again our photographer, and BFF/cousin Keaton joined the fun! We are looking forward to the holidays with our little one. Also, I am looking forward to my graduation on Dec. 20th. I am finally done with my masters and couldn't be happier!
